Main Job Purpose:
Buying of Flexible feedstocks for the South Asia Business along with the Global Proc. Manager.
To provide support & contribute to procurement initiatives for the Flexibles Feedstock Packaging team in the region & globally.
Key Accountabilities:
Negotiate & control the spend of key directed buying materials in South Asia.
Increase the scope / improve spend coverage for all flexibles feedstock – Plastics.
To support the procurement organization to meet goals & objectives in support to the overall Flexible strategy.
Support development and implementation of Unilever procurement strategies and policies.
Work closely with leadership on requests from CPO, UPLT, Procurement VPs. (eg. Scorecards, Team MIS)
Be responsible and Lead Contracts Management, Governance and Quarterly Price updates to all directed buying markets.
To support deliver cost savings based on sourcing strategies and compliance management.
Tendering process and the subsequent analysis - financial analysis of the portfolio, including price benchmarking and total cost analysis.
Support the periodic executive summary for the Team by consolidating and reporting various KPIs (e.g. Savings, Commodity prices, Portfolio and Market updates, Payment Terms Tracker, ZBB, Resilience, Sustainability, Supplier Performance, etc)
To support complexity reduction programs for the Team.
Drive Supplier Relationship Management Excellence
Support leadership on presentations and updates for internal and external audience.
Actively participate in the Feedstock forecasting process and working on forecast variance analysis as needed.
Support resilience actions & ensure security of key materials through the development of contingency plans and alternative materials/suppliers, working with local Procurement teams.
Engage with R&D for alternate material approvals / formulation changes, and at times lead regional implementation of global projects involving Packaging.
Bring key market information to the team for Packaging commodities – Films / Resins (Newsletter/Polymer trend reports)
Business partner with BG-BU teams along with local procurement teams.
Professional Skills:
4-5 years of experience in Buying or Procurement preferably in Packaging
Good understanding of suppliers and the external competitive environment in Packaging industry.
Good Analytical Skills & experience in big data handling.
Experience in being accountable for Target delivery.
Master in Excel/Presentation skills
Able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines
Negotiation & communications skills
Digital and analytics knowledge
Financial acumen for business cases and reporting. Experience with cost models
Packaging technologies and innovations
Experience in Procurement transformation projects, tools and technologies.
Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL
University degree (Additional Packaging degree is desirable).
At least 4 to 5 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
Supply market and FMCG knowledge.
Experience on large-scale project management roles.
Travel:
