untapped potential, dedicating Takeda’s Plasma-Derived Therapies Business Unit to transforming the lives of patients worldwide who rely on these lifesaving and life-sustaining therapies.
Incumbent will lead and drive the overall strategic, operational, and financial performance of the PDT business unit ensuring expanded access to our patient and market penetration of PDT products, thereby improving patient outcomes and contributing to the company’s growth and success.
Strategic Leadership: Setting the strategic direction for the BU, aligned with the overall company goals. Product Development: Overseeing the development of plasma-derived therapies, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory standards. Operational Management: Managing day-to-day operations, including budgets, logistics, and partnerships. Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring the BU team to achieve business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders.
How you will contribute:
Leadership
To provide inspirational leadership to team in the business unit in a cohesive manner to ensure strong alignment to optimize strategy implementation and delivery within timelines.
Enroll cross functional teams in vision and mission for seamless execution of the strategy
Create the vision, clarity, and drive for all team members in the business unit to enable them to deliver the expected sales.
Ensure that the goals and objectives are agreed to and cascaded in a timely manner, and giving ongoing feedback, coaching and development to build skills and contribution (People development)
Collaborates with relevant regional & global stakeholders
Driving for Results
Delivering marketing, access and sales plans, which optimize the brand in the portfolio
Achieve the sales, profit and market share targets for business unit, in terms of both annual budget and shorter-term phasing.
Lead long range forecasting to support life cycle management and strategic portfolio planning
Coach and Mentor the team aligning with Takeda values to achieve company goals
Strategic Thinking
To create clear business unit strategies that are fulfilled through the tactical implementation
Leads & collaborates with CFT to develop strategies, maximizing access & Patient value thus improving standards of care
To work with regional team to ensure localization of regional strategies and to tap into knowledge and information that is held by others
Undertake Franchise Planning ensuring all critical factors are considered and that both strategic and tactical plans are reviewed by senior management prior to approval.
To ensure launch excellence for new molecules as and when available, indications and line extensions to ensure the Takeda achieves its goals.
To develop strong links to organization to ensure alignment and develop an understanding of market challenges and progress
Customer & Market focus
Lead, develop and maintain appropriate customer networks/ engagement on behalf of the company
Have clear objectives, segmentation & prioritize private and Govt (SR & ER), COE, Corporate & OOP accounts through execution excellence across the portfolio
In Government accounts, closely work with access, tender & Govt Institution teams to achieve team goals
Ensure competitor intelligence processes are developed and maintained.
Ensure strategies are implemented to optimize the product's local access to market
Incorporate digital e.g. omni channel engagement as needed to amplify F2F activities with customers
Demonstrate company values on a consistent basis. Acts, and is accountable for others, in their team to act, in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies.
Communications
Actively develop the motivation of the sales force through high-quality communication and flawless delivery of materials for each sales cycle
Be inclined towards Digital and Omnichannel communication
Present on a regular basis to marketing team to ensure vision for brand is understood
Develop strong cohesive relationships with marketing managers, sales force managers, Cross functional teams via regular contact ensuring profound understanding of market.
What you bring to Takeda:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Graduate/ Postgraduate. MBA will be an added advantage.
Must have 15 years of experience in Sales & Marketing in public and private market across Life Sciences/ Healthcare in with 5 years’ experience in leadership positions.
Experience of managing Plasma Derived Therapies or Hematology product will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, creativity, and proven track-record for innovation.
Experience in a leadership role within a multi-functional commercial organization is required. Strong, team-oriented leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, lead, negotiate and work effectively at all levels within a matrix and multi-cultural environment aiming towards strategic alignment for commercial success.
Track record and strong knowledge of successfully defining market issues and opportunities and developing successful marketing campaigns
Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, creativity with experience in product positioning and messaging
Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex strategic initiatives, including a demonstrated understanding of the tools and methodologies needed to develop assumptions for business case, market and competitive analysis, regulatory reviews, customer needs and primary/secondary research sources to support hypotheses
Experience managing marketing teams including hiring, managing performance, and developing skill sets of direct reports
Enthusiasm, confidence, ability to work on multiple tasks, problem solving ability, creativity, and ability to prioritize effectively to meet personal, team and company goals.
