In the Device OS group, we are inventing the future for consumer electronics and are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to support us to bring the vision into reality and solve real world challenges that will transform our customers’ experiences in ways we can’t even imagine yet. The team supports scalable cloud solutions that enable our partners to quickly build and launch services/ devices quickly in a cost-effective way. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will technically contribute to a complex charter of supporting T1 cloud services for Device OS. You will support the roadmap of multi year business critical cloud technology solution which will be rolled out of multiple devices across millions of devices. You will troubleshoot, triage and support various AWS environments, manage availability, latency and performance of our mission critical services and prevent problem recurrence. You will work closely with Platform and application teams to ensure the highest level of quality for the Device OS deliverable.
Key job responsibilities
Support and maintain AWS infrastructure and resources, working on monitoring solutions.
Software deployment support in staging and production environments.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues.
Handling incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks
Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
- 1+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java or Perl
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases
