What you'll do


In your role as a Cross-topic architect, you will be representing and leading cross topics like performance, best practice content and security for Core Master Data (CMD) area.


· Play the role of a cross-topic architect, responsible for all technical and application agnostic aspects including but not limited to best practice content Development, Performance Optimization, Security Compliance etc.


· Work with development leads to develop and deliver best practices content for S/4HANA Public Cloud


· Collaborate with Application development, Central Content Architects, Product Managers and Scenario owners who are spread in different geographical locations


· Work on defining performance standards and measuring as-is performance metrics of CMD Applications and APIs


· Create a plan and approach towards performance optimization of existing CMD applications and drive its implementation


· Design and review performance aspects of any new application development in CMD team


· Work with central security lead to perform regular audit of security aspects in CMD applications and drive compliance in any detected / potential threat


· Plan, design and review security standards in any new application development in CMD team by following best practices as Threat Modeling etc.


What you bring


· Experience in the role of an architect having ownership of best practices content or Performance.


· In-depth knowledge in Content Development Framework tools like Solution Builder, Central Business Configuration (CBC) etc and the ability to lead Content for the unit.


· Sound Knowledge in new features and functionalities around SAP Content Development


· Experience in developing and delivering high quality pre-configured End to End Business Processes for S/4HANA modules which act as the best practices content for S/4HANA Public Cloud in collaboration with Application Development team, Central Content Architects, Product Managers and Scenario Owners


· Expertise on performance measurements (in ABAP and HANA DB), analysis and ability to devise strategy for performance improvements for legacy and new applications.


· Hands on experience on optimizing application server coding as well as Database performance tuning.


· Experience with analysis of customer requirements (map requirements to backlogs, components, and work packages, do effort estimation and risk assessment, implementation, support) and worked with tools like Jira, Service Now etc.


· Strong knowledge of security standards and concepts esp. in context of S/4HANA Public Cloud applications. Expert know-how of processes related to security planning, audit, and compliance like threat modelling etc.


· Expertise in ABAP, RICEFW, ABAP OO, ABAP Core Data Services (CDS), Restful Application Programming (RAP), SAP Fiori Elements, oData based APIs


· Knowledge of development using ABAP Development Tools (ADT), BAS (Business Application Studio), SAP Web IDE


· Experience in development using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach, excellent debugging skills, performance evaluation and improvement in SAP development environments


· Strong communication with experience managing internal and external stakeholders


Nice-To Have:


· Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Master Data Objects, S/4HANA Architecture Guidelines, S/4HANA Development Process (e.g. FBE, test automation, no incompatible changes, feature toggles, Public Cloud maintenance and hotfix process etc.), Product Standards, TAM Modelling


· Fair functional/Domain Knowledge in SAP S/4HANA Master Data topics like Business Partner / Product Master / Business Address Services


· Experience in AI technologies is a plus.


Education and Experience


· BE/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech/MCA


· Total experience of 10-12 years developing ABAP based applications


· Atleast 3 years experience of driving best practices content OR as a performance expert


· Experience as a technical architect is desirable


· Proven ability to work in a distributed setup.


· Good understanding of the agile and lean software development process


· Self-motivated, self-driven, curious, open minded, resourceful, and flexible with the ability to learn quickly.
