About this Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer Lead to support the Data & Analytics function by ensuring smooth and reliable operations of daily ETL batches based on Abinitio and Teradata Vantage on GCP. The individual will troubleshoot production issues, provide deployment support, manage incident and service request updates, and collaborate with multiple teams to maintain high availability of business‑critical applications. The role also requires supporting cloud-related activities on GCP, driving automation, improving performance, and offering leadership within the operational landscape.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot daily production ETL job issues on Abinitio and Teradata Vantage Cloud on GCP.
- Provide deployment support for new and enhanced applications.
- Coordinate with project managers, development teams, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
- Update Remedy tickets for incidents and service requests.
- Provide on‑call support during nights and weekends for batch job monitoring.
- Drive automation initiatives and optimise existing processes.
- Improve performance of ETL and integration jobs.
- Work on Google Cloud POCs, IAM, virtual machines, and Kubernetes workloads.
- Apply strong leadership skills in operational and coordination activities.
Who you are
- Bring 8+ years of experience in Abinitio support.
- Have strong knowledge of Teradata Vantage and proven Unix/SQL skills.
- Possess hands‑on experience with GCP, including IAM, virtual machines, and Kubernetes.
- Offer 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Familiar with telecom domain and GCP architecture.
- Experienced in ITIL practices and Unix scripting (desired).
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Able to analyse issues, respond proactively, and support continuous improvement.
