Support the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices at solar project sites to ensure safe working conditions, statutory compliance, and adherence to project safety standards.
Assist in implementing site EHS plans, safety procedures, and safe work practices.
Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety rules and use of PPE.
Ensure safe execution of high-risk activities such as work at height, electrical works, lifting operations, and excavation.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.
Support daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Assist in monitoring contractor and subcontractor safety compliance.
Assist in Permit-to-Work (PTW) system implementation (hot work, electrical work, work at height, confined space).
Maintain basic EHS records such as attendance, toolbox talks, inspection checklists, and permits.
Report accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately to the EHS In-Charge / Manager.
Assist in preliminary incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
Support environmental controls such as waste segregation, housekeeping, dust suppression, and noise control.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste as per site guidelines.
Assist in EHS inductions for new workers and visitors.
Promote safety awareness among site personnel and contractors.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve safety-related issues.
Act as a safety point of contact at site during daily activities.
Diploma (preferred).
4-6 years of experience as an EHS Supervisor / Safety Officer, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
Knowledge of basic EHS rules and construction safety practices.
Ability to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Awareness of solar project activities and site safety requirements.
