Electrical Architect
As an Electrical Architect, you have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain Diagnostic X-ray systems (Radiography, Fluoro & Mammography) and the realization of a range of products in such a way that future product options and features can be realized with acceptable effects for the earlier products. You are responsible for identifying appropriate technologies for the overall system, sub-system, and component levels. You will ensure that your design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements.
Your Role:
Responsible for Requirements, Design, implementation, test, and integration of his module/sub-system in accordance with the higher level architectural Requirements and Design specifications, easy to maintain, extendible (components and modules) and re-usable
Ensure that the proposed architecture would have the safety and reliability features built in
The Electrical Architect ensures that his design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements.
Responsible for ensuring that the architecture meets the performance criteria
Formulates the HW-technical roadmap, relevant for his subsystem/system taking into account HW technologies (operating systems, databases), application trends
Conducts Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed design
Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in a modular design that meets the product specification
Guides the HW Development Engineers in the design and implementation aspects
Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
Is abreast of / participates in standards identification, responsible for designing
Networks with colleagues within BU and beyond and maintains external contacts for benchmarking, new technologies, tooling, design methods, and reflects them to the HW-group
Contributes to technology roadmaps and other strategic-related activities
Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress.
Contributes to the Work Breakdown Structure/ the planning process of his/her area.
Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations

You are fit if:
Completed engineering studies at university level; BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electronics/Electrical with 15+ years of experience
Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods & tools (CAD/simulation) used in electrical design
Expert in Power Electronics and High Voltage
Knowledge of Digital Electronics and Analog circuits
Expert in Electrical Hardware Testing
Knowledge of Designing Cable Harness
Knowledge of a specific area of technology or product feature.
Peripheral interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet and USB
Worked on CPLD’s and FPGA design
Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware/software boundaries and should have knowledge of SW development (coding) /debugging on prototype hardware and changing requirements – added advantage
Expertise in design techniques, application domain and engineering
Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware boundaries
Exposure to International Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be preferred
Experience in the field of Medical Devices product design e.g. X-Ray, Mammography systems etc. will be added advantage
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
Be structured and self-organized
Excellent communication skills
Team player, leadership skills and drive for results
Quality mindset in design and documentation
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This role is an office-based role.
