Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical alignment of sub-components with vendors, supporting bidding teams with optimal cost and delivery, and facilitating competitive bids for Sales and Customers. Additionally, the role involves ensuring a smooth handover for execution in collaboration with stakeholders, including bidding teams, Post-Order Engineering, Project Procurement, and Operations.


Pre-Bid Technical Alignment:


  • Review component datasheets prepared by Engineering teams for Wet Seal Systems, Gas Seal Systems and Filtration.
  • Review Project AVL or JC STD AVL and issue RFQs to vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure technical compliance with specifications.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve best cost and delivery terms.
  • Prepare bid analysis reports (cost and delivery comparison with vendor CED) and maintain technical alignment trackers for stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, Project Procurement, PMO teams etc.
  • Collaborate with fabricators for manufacturing quotes and conduct commercial and delivery negotiations.
  • Coordinate with Certification agencies to meet regulatory requirements (U-Stamp, PED, DOSH, GOST, CUTR, CRN, ABS, DNV, etc.).
  • Maintain vendor and quotation databases for future reference.
  • Identify new suppliers as required.

    Best Costing:


  • Review scope of supply, specifications, and preliminary costing prepared by Engineering and Sales teams.
  • Work with suppliers to obtain discounts and update final pricing in costing files for submission.
  • Additional responsibilities:

  • Material expedition
  • Assist Segment / Category teams with:
  • Vendor frame agreements (Global and Local)
  • Freezing technical requirements
  • Supplier audits
  • Calculate and manage savings and cost avoidance

Experience


  • Graduate in Mechanical / Chemical / Instrumentation Engineering from reputed university with 2 to 5 years relevant Industrial experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical seal support systems (Wet seal systems or Gas seal systems) or similar fluid control systems (e.g., Lube Oil Consoles, Oil Lubricating Systems, Pre-jacking Systems, HP-LP Systems, Filtration Units) for applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, and Steel industries.
  • Experience in supplier engagement, quotation management, and negotiations.
  • Familiarity with components such as Pressure, Flow, Level & Temperature instruments, Pressure vessels, Valves, Filters, and raw materials like flanges, piping, and tubing.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Enclosures for Hazardous Area Classification and Mechanical Protection requirements.
  • Working knowledge with   API 682, API 692, API 610, API 614, ASME / ANSI Piping and pressure vessels standards are preferable.
  • Experience in pumps and compressor skid engineering at OEM level is an advantage.
