Eaton India Innovation Center is looking for a Engineering Manager - EMobility, Cost out, Program Management, OPEX to join our team in Pune. 



What you’ll do:

The incumbent will assume the role of Manager for Power Connection, Cost out and Program Management group within eMobility business. This position is responsible for providing Engineering Leadership to Product portfolio of Connectors, Heritage, Busbars, Power distribution & Protection. In addition to that this position will also be responsible for leading overall cost out portfolio and Program management function within eMobility.




Key responsibilities include: 




Provide Engineering leadership for New Technology Development / Advance Engineering, Pursuit, New Production Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Engineering for Power connection productline which includes - LV&HV Terminals & Connectors, Heritage - Stamped battery terminals & Eyelets and Busbars. Provide Portfolio leadership for eMobility cost out portfolio & OPEX for 3 Product lines within eMobility - Power Connection, PD&P and LVPC through Strategic Value analysis, Ideation and implementing cost out ideas through VA PROLaunch Process along with global cross functional team. Lead Program Management function for eMobility and Flawlessly execute the NPI & VA programs by closely working with business functions. Provide transformational leadership, supervision, coaching & mentorship to senior talents which includes - Engineering Managers, Lead Engineers, Program Managers and Portfolio/ product strategy managers. 




Our eMobility business is looking for Manager - Power Connection, Cost out and Program management to join our team at our Magarpatta City office, Pune, India.




  • Proven Track record of managing & developing 80+ strong team with engineering, cost out and program management function.
  • In depth experience in engineering / R&D domain, demonstrated accountability & ownership in growing the portfolio, demonstrated persistence to achieve business goals.
  • Candidate must have experience in developing strong customer / stakeholder relations, understanding market needs and driving customer centric solution by working with technical experts.
  • Promote and maintain a professional work environment, drive analysis first culture and DfX deployment for flawless execution. Maintain effective communication both verbal & written with customers/ Stakeholders & within team.
  • Drive business critical New Product Development programs and ensure flawless launch through Eaton PROLaunch.
  • Collaborate with Global Engineering, SCM, Manufacturing and Finance team to drive the eMobility cost out through Strategic value analysis and VA PROLaunch
  • Attract, develop and retain organizational and technical leadership talents, Coach and motivate to achieve their professional goals and review their accomplishments
  • Drive the culture of boundaryless teamwork and leadership. Influence in uncertain situations with effective decision making.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Mechanical / Electrical /Electronic/Production engineering with proven track record in providing leadership in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in Vehicle electrical domain, Cost-out, Program management will be preferred
  • Experience/exposure in manufacturing engineering & supply management streams (supplier selection, technical assessments, process audits) will be preferred
  • 18+ years of industry experience in multinational organization with demonstrated ability to influence global and cross functional organization.

Skills:
  • Experience working in global environment (North America / Europe / APAC) for 5+ years preferred. International work experience will be an enabler.
  • In depth, understanding of Market and Regulatory trends in Vehicle / Power Electronics / Data Center domain would be an added advantage.
  • Expertise in handling New Product & Technology Development leveraging stage gate approach
  • Expertise in handling New Product & Technology Development leveraging stage gate approach. 
  • Experience in practicing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfM&A)
  • Experience/exposure in manufacturing engineering & supply management streams (supplier selection, technical assessments, process audits) will be preferred 
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement cost effective solutions
  • Strategic Agility - sees ahead clearly; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies & plans
  • Drive for results - can be counted on to exceed goals successfully
  • Decision quality - makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
  • Demonstrated experience in managing & developing new processes, systems and tools
  • Skilled at conflict management, dealing with ambiguity and change management
  • Communicates effectively - develops and delivers multi-mode communication to diverse stakeholders
