The Field Application Specialist for Cytiva is responsible in driving sales across the region through technical competency and customer satisfaction. They are the first line of scientific support for the internal sales teams as well as the external customers.  This role requires extensive traveling and interaction with various customers principally across the region and, in some instances, also across the South Asia region (SAARC countries Except Pakistan).


This position is part of the Discovery and Medical team located in Gurugram and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Provide field application support, training and troubleshooting to the customers of Cytiva for Biacore T200/3000/X100/2000 models, Typhoon scanners, CCD imagers, 2D and DIGE, flat-bed gel based IEF, lab-scale automated protein purification systems (Akta).
  • Assay designing for bio-similarity/bio-comparability testing, immunogenicity testing, HCP profiling using Biacore (SPR), IEF, 2D & DIGE to the Bio-pharma customers.
  • Pre-sales activities like product presentations, conducting workshops, roadshows and participation in various marketing activities across the region to generate sales leads and build sales funnel.
  • Conducting training courses for the internal teams to strengthen the technical competency of the sales team members.
  • Helping the commercial team to build and maintain a healthy sales funnel by continuous customer engagement with technical and scientific acumen.

The essential requirements of the job include:


  • Masters (MS/MSc/Mtech) with 5 years of experience or PhD in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Lifesciences/Biotechnology/ any allied sciences to Biotechnology with strong knowledge of protein purification, molecular cloning and recombinant DNA technology.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools and analytical assays in regulated environment for Biotherapeutics and/or Diagnostics products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are required for this role.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools especially Excel and PowerPoint.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • PhD is added advantage
