Department


The Field services department is a local based team of field engineers In India specifically handling Storage & Packaging division and providing technical advisory services onsite and remotely to the cement industry throughout Globe.


This multidiscipline team is comprised of engineers of all backgrounds including, mechanical, electrical, and automation with years of in-field experience at operating cement plants. The group mission is to provide sustainability and productivity solutions, through expert technical guidance and training across the entire cement flow sheet, supporting FLSmidth key customers, from installation, through commissioning, maintenance, and optimization.


Your responsibilities


  • Supervise Mechanical installation / testing / commissioning activities at site for the cement silo and packing & loading equipment.


  • Installation of Packing, Loading & Storage system equipment individually or as a team depending upon the size of the project supplied to cement, fertilizer & Chemical industries across the globe. Project type could be green field, Brown field and upgrades. This involves extensive traveling and high level of technical expertise and customer handling skill.


  • Participate in cold and hot commissioning and preparation of reports with customer and contractor.


  • Traveling to domestic and global site for Installation of the supplied equipment/ Troubleshooting/Maintenance/Audit and other services. Traveling target is 85%.


  • Preparation site documents like Site Reports, learning reports, site safety reports, Protocols, Erection & Commissioning check list, punch list.


  • Completion and closure of site/project within the scheduled time frame.


  • Ensure equipment Safety, Personal safety and the personal associated with him in all aspect.


  • Promote innovative and creative thinking & Idea within the team.


  • Develop Relationship with customer and understanding their requirement to generate revenue through various services like AMC/Plant Audit/Spare promotion.


What you bring


  • Should have an experience of working at various project site on Mechanical Installation , cold & hot commissioning of equipment. Experience of Cement Packing plant of Fertilizer Bagging plant would be an added advantage.


  • Knowledge and experience on hydraulic will be an added advantage.


  • Experience and knowledge of site execution planning and documentation for prioritizing the site activities task.


  • Knowledge of soft skill like power point, Excel, word.


  • Ready to travel/Site stay for at least 250 days in a year.


Education Qualification


Must possess a bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.


Experience


5-7 Years of relevant experience, Cement packing plant experience will be preferred.
