What this job involves: 


  • Apply accounting principles and internal controls to commercial real estate scenarios in a high-powered team environment.  
  • Your work will directly impact SEC-reported results while supporting Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, critical audits and process improvements across global operations.  
  • This position contributes to our OneFinance vision through financial stewardship and cross-functional collaboration to support business growth. 
  • Leading a team of accounting professionals in a complex business environment. 

What your day-to-day will look like: 


  • Review and analyze financial transactions, balances and client-level trial balances (if applicable) to maintain complete and accurate records 
  • Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all financial reporting deliverables 
  • Manage and develop a small team of accounting associates, providing guidance on complex accounting matters and ensuring adherence to established processes and control 
  • Ensure revenue recognition compliance with contract terms, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and U.S. GAAP (ASC 606)  
  • Prepare and develop comprehensive Sarbanes-Oxley supporting workpapers that meet audit-ready standards and demonstrate strong internal controls 
  • Lead transformational initiatives including process re-engineering, technology implementations and other strategic projects to drive operational excellence 
  • Support external and internal audit processes by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries and coordinating team responses to audit requests 

Required Qualifications 


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
  • Minimum 6 years of core accounting and/or auditing experience with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and analysis 
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements with practical application experience 
  • Team management or supervisory experience leading accounting professionals in a complex business environment 
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards with ability to apply to real estate service contracts 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft financial reporting systems or similar enterprise-level accounting platforms 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to identify issues and develop comprehensive solutions 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for complex financial modeling and analysis 

Preferred Qualifications 


  • CPA certification (or equivalent) or actively working toward designation 
  • Public accounting experience with exposure to real estate or professional services industries 
  • Experience with contract interpretation and abstraction, including legal documents and service agreements 
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate, property management or professional services environments 
  • Background in process improvement or transformational finance initiatives 
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders 
  • Experience supporting multiple audit processes and working with external audit firms
