The role holder is responsible for handling HSSE&C Operations at Chemical Management System (CMS) Customer Sites for Industrial Customers across Country and also to handle Crisis and Continuity Management (C&CM) for Castrol India Limited.
Provides expertise to ensure that HSSE&C risks within PU India are identified, assessed and optimally handled.
Provides HSSE&C support, and facilitates access to HSSE&C expertise, to allow the Hub to optimally meet regulatory, legislative and BP requirements within manufacturing and other Hub operations.
Intervenes and escalates as appropriate to cause corrective action when HSSE&C performance and/or OMS conformance is not at desired levels.
Drives consistency and a common approach where it contributes, and provides optimum performance in service of the HSSE&C agenda.
As a member of the Hub HSSE&C LT contributes to the development of local HSSE&C plans, policies and programmes.
Leading investigation or capable of achieving this expertise in one year to lead higher level RCA investigations (Cat 2 incidents) as per BP standards.
Lead and facilitate MOC for PU business which includes RAT review, applying HSEC & C part of OMS, Control of Works, facilitate sessions on BP Safety Leadership Principles (SLPs).
What you will deliver!
Implementation of the HSSE&C plan to ensure delivery of the Global Castrol HSSE&C strategy and ensuring BP and SPU HSSE&C requirements are met.
Proactively influences and advises the key leaders within the organisation to ensure their compliance with all applicable HSSE&C legislation and to ensure the consequences of non-compliance are understood
Supports the relevant leaders in the Manufacturing organisation to ensure they have the competence to fulfil their HSSE&C accountabilities
Delivers appropriate training interventions within the Manufacturing organisation to ensure the workforce are proficient to deliver their HSSE&C accountabilities
Ensures that HSSE&C risks are incorporated into the decision making process with respect to operational projects, in particular identifying and recommending mitigations for key risks
Supports leaders to implement the HSSE&C systems, processes and tools vital to ensure delivery of OMS, HSSE&C policies and standards, GDPs (e.g. CoW, Risk, C&CM)
Proactively influences and directs the relevant leaders to ensure relevant HSSE&C employee and stakeholder communications and awareness programmes are developed and delivered, using agile where appropriate
Implements key HSSE&C processes including Annual Risk Process, Risk Assessment, Incident Classification and Reporting, Notification and Investigation to meet regulatory and BP requirements in the Manufacturing Operations
Provides support to line management in the conformance of operations to external HSE management standards, such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and any OEM standards
Responsible for providing HSE & C support and auditing of Chemical Management Services ( CMS Sites) at customer site operation of BP Castrol across India locations. Ensure that company’s operations at customer sites meet the regulatory and BP’s HSE & C requirements in addition to customer specific programs; includes HSSE incident notification and reporting
Provide HSE&C support to Castrol India Corporate office and regional offices as 'Control of Work Authority' for India offices, review complex risk assessments and approve Permits for office site related repair, service and maintenance work and refurbishment projects ensuring their safe completion.
Castrol India Focal point for Crisis and continuity management and coordinate with BP India Intelligence Security and Crisis team for “Accounting for People” and maintain Incident Management capabilities at Castrol India.
HSE& C focal point for receiving monthly HSE & C performance data from BP Castrol India offices and manufacturing locations and supporting company’s Sales and Marketing events at 3rd party locations.
What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)
Graduate in Engineering stream. Formal HSSE&C qualification ADIS, NEBOSH.
10-15 years experience in manufacturing and leading/ working on world class manufacturing techniques.
Prior experience of working in Industrial, B2B, OEM Set up will be desirable.
This position requires good people management, leadership and influencing skills.
Experience in communicating and collaborating with all levels of the organization
Demonstrate ability to prioritize multiple activities concurrently and developing process improving strategies
Travel Requirement : 20% (Across the CMS Site PAN India)
