What you’ll do


As part of RISE with SAP, several strategic and very large customers start their transformation journey towards Cloud along with SAP ECS using an enhanced delivery model. The ECS Large Customer Operations Organization (LCO) has been setup to provide the strategic focused service with a dedicated team within SAP Enterprise Cloud Services for these large strategic customers. While acting in LCO as Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will focus in your area of expertise to optimize all related activities, from planning to execution, implementation and operational support and have the team trained to scale.


We’re looking for an enthusiastic and action-oriented colleague who is willing to take ownership and accountability to help our team to reach the next level for excellent & enhanced service delivery.


As an IT Business Services Consultant, you are responsible to:


  • play a key role in our customers S/4 journey where high quality, downtime minimized S/4 conversion are the measure of success
  • consult with the customer assisting them to articulate their outcome-based requirements - this includes technical architecture and it's supporting processes
  • collaborate with internal partners to identify relevant standard solutions that would be available for efficient deployment.
  • where required, innovate (architect, design, build, test a customer specific solution)

What you bring


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management
  • Solid know-how of SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial)
  • Expert level BASIS, HANA, SUSE knowledge (preferably Pacemaker experience) > 6 years
  • Good knowledge of hyperscaler infrastructure, tools, and processes > 2 years
  • S/4 experience including technical conversations (hands on and problem solving), Fiori, embedded gateway etc
  • Scripting in python, bash etc
  • Problem solving skills, including incident resolution, RCA
  • Able to take technical requirements, identify existing solutions or architect new & Define roadmap for innovation adoption
  • Analyse current landscape setups, goals and challenges in order to suggest ECS CAS continuous improvement solutions and innovation

Soft skills


  • Strong communication skills: Articulate technical details effectively to non-technical individuals using clear and concise language.
  • Customer-focused: Thrive in high-pressure situations and maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to customers.
  • Excellent presentation skills: Capable of delivering engaging presentations, utilizing storytelling techniques and PowerPoint to effectively convey information.
  • Strong documentation abilities: Skilled in creating comprehensive and organized documentation, including standards and procedures.

Work experience


  • 10+ years working in IT Technical Operations in ABAP/JAVA/JANA/DB2
  • Strong operations background, with recent architecture experience
  • Working in customer-facing roles,
