Our R&D community at NXP is growing rapidly and is asking fast IT response. Our team must become more Agile and the solutions provided should be first-in-class, reliable and secure. We must constantly be aware of how new technologies can integrate into our IT environment and ultimately serve new demands and better end user satisfaction in a timely manner. As Technical Program Manager you will lead complex, cross-functional projects within our Software Engineering organization. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent program management skills, and the ability to drive alignment across engineering teams and stakeholders. You will help the organizations stay on schedule, on budget, in general on track towards success. Your responsibilities • Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with IT and Software Engineering teams to define program scope, architecture considerations, and integration strategies. • Engineering Delivery: Ensure technical solutions meet quality, security, and performance standards. Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, automation). • Program Management: Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities across multiple projects. Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the project lifecycle. Manage dependencies across systems and teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. • Stakeholder Alignment: Manage expectations with senior management and engineering leads. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and technologies for better scalability and efficiency. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering. • At least 10 years of experience in an information technology field, having at least 5 years of prior experience as Project Manager or Program Manager. • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. • Familiarity with source control systems (Git) and issue tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps). • Highly analytical and organized. • Strong on building and strengthening teams, with high level of coordination and delegation. • Great negotiator, communicator and influencer. • Ability to work with team members and stakeholders toward conflict resolution. • Outstanding planning, resource, and stakeholder management. • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools used in Software Engineering. • Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Lead. • Knowledge of software quality practices, security principles, and performance optimization. • Experience managing large-scale distributed systems or enterprise applications. • Exposure to AI/ML projects or modern software engineering trends.
