Nielsen is looking to hire talented software developer to build world class experiences and services for our customers. Nielsen’s Audience Measurement Engineering platforms support the measurement of television viewing in more than 30 countries around the world. Ideal candidates will have exceptional skills in programming, testing, debugging, and problem solving as well as
effective communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the entire product lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance of highly scalable distributed software systems.
  • Identify and enhance team processes and best practices, influence technical direction, drive operational excellence, and maintain quality standards for team deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new product features.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, demonstrating best development practices and providing constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or related fields, strong in CS fundamentals.
  • 2+ years of agile software development methodology experience
  • Proven experience in Java development and scripting languages such as Python in an AWS environment.
  • Experience working with SQL, and databases like Postgres
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with ability to communicate technical concepts
