Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of robust Java-based solutions. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, reliable software that meets client requirements and organizational standards. The Lead Java Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and ensure that solutions adhere to best practices in architecture, security, and performance, supporting Synechron’s strategic objectives in innovative and efficient technology delivery.

Overall Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Java solutions aligned with client and business needs.
Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and DevOps, to formulate technical strategies and resolve issues efficiently.
Review code and provide guidance on architecture, coding best practices, and performance enhancements.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering growth and technical excellence.
Stay current with emerging Java technologies and industry trends, integrating applicable innovations into projects.
Contribute to defining technical standards and improving development processes and methodologies.

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of professional Java development experience in a fast-paced environment.
Proven leadership experience overseeing software development teams and managing project deliverables.
Demonstrated success delivering scalable, multi-tier Java applications, ideally in enterprise or financial domains.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating with back-end systems.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
Experience with containerization and cloud deployment is preferred.
Alternative experience: Extensive development success in related roles, with demonstrated leadership and technical proficiency.
Day-to-Day Activities
Architect and lead the development of Java solutions for complex client requirements.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to coordinate development efforts.
Analyze technical issues, provide timely resolutions, and optimize system performance.
Mentor junior developers, support their technical growth, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Review system architecture and contribute to establishing technical standards.
Stay informed on the latest Java frameworks, tools, and industry trends, recommending improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) preferred.
Proven experience in leading Java development projects and teams.
