To support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) systems for elevated metro construction works, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, client standards, and company HSE policies.
Implement and monitor SHE Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments (HIRA/JSA) for elevated metro works such as piling, pier construction, launching girder, segment erection, U/I girders, station works, and precast operations.
Ensure work-at-height safety, including scaffolding, formwork, access platforms, lifelines, and fall-arrest systems.
Monitor lifting operations, crane safety, heavy machinery movement, and traffic management along ROW.
Conduct daily site safety inspections, unsafe act/condition reporting, and closure tracking.
Coordinate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training programs for workers and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with occupational health standards, PPE usage, welfare facilities, drinking water, sanitation, and rest areas.
Monitor heat stress management, dust control, noise control, and ergonomics at site.
Coordinate periodic medical check-ups for workmen and operators.
Implement Environmental Management Plan (EMP) including dust suppression, waste segregation, muck disposal, and spill control.
Ensure compliance with statutory environmental norms related to noise, air, water, and waste.
Maintain records for muck disposal, debris removal, and hazardous waste handling.
Ensure compliance with Factories Act, BOCW Act, IS Codes, NBC, Metro Rail Safety norms, and local labour laws.
Support audits by Client, PMC, statutory authorities, and internal HSE teams.
Maintain statutory registers, permits, and safety documentation.
Assist in incident/near-miss investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective & preventive actions.
Maintain accident statistics, safety KPIs, and monthly SHE reports.
Coordinate with construction, planning, QA/QC, and subcontractor teams to integrate safety into execution.
Support Senior SHE Manager in daily, weekly, and monthly SHE reporting.
Promote a positive safety culture across all levels at site.
