WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US


We are seeking a highly skilled Lead CI/CD & DevOps Engineer to join our Pipeline and Platform teams. This role is pivotal in enhancing developer productivity and infrastructure maturity through automation, streamlined workflows, and platform stability. You will enable engineering teams to operate with minimal oversight while ensuring SimCorp’s hosted environments operate securely, reliably, and efficiently on cloud platforms like Azure.


WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR


You will be using multiple technologies, and your responsibilities will also include: 


  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps preferred). 


  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using tools like Terraform/OpenTofu, ARM, and Bicep. 


  • Mature and automate Azure-based solutions, ensuring maintainability and performance. 


  • Collaborate with engineers to refine and implement DevOps best practices. 


  • Regularly contribute to code reviews, test automation, sprint planning, and team retrospectives


  • Troubleshoot and support infrastructure in production and development environments. 


  • Promote knowledge sharing and encourage a DevOps culture within the team


  • Explore and adopt emerging technologies to improve platform efficiency and developer experience.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


We expect you to be good at several of the following and be able to - and interested in - learning the rest. 


Essential


  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or CI/CD roles. 


  • Deep expertise in GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps or any other CI tool. 


  • Proficient PowerShell scripting skills


  • Azure cloud proficiency, including AAD, DNS, Networking, and resource management. 


  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, ARM templates, or Bicep). 


  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). 


  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and CI/CD environments. 


Desired qualifications


  • Bash, Python, or JavaScript scripting. 


  • Kotlin or .NET experience. 


  • SonarQube or other static code analysis tools. 


  • Monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana. 


  • AI integration into developer workflows or pipelines.
