What you’ll do:

The Lead Engineer in the Electrical Assemblies category will be responsible for driving multiple large-scale, complex projects and programs focused on cost leadership, product performance and supply chain resiliency improvements. The role requires strong technical expertise on Electrical products and engineering, multi-disciplinary understanding, strong project leadership,colloboration across global teams and suppliers to generate ideas and implement projects. Incumbent need to develop and execute strategies, in alignment with global product development and supply chain teams. Key responsibilities also include mentoring and reviewing the work of junior engineers. The Lead Engineer is expected to foster a culture of innovation, enhance VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) contributions, and accelerate capability development within the category.



"1. Lead multiple large‑scale and complex cost out and resiliency improvement projects and programs from concept through execution, ensuring technical robustness, stakeholders alignment, and schedule adherence.
2. Develop and execute category strategies in collaboration with Global Category Managers, global procurement, product development teams and product line managers.
3. Identify high quality cost out and resiliency ideas, prepare business case proposals, including technical and commercial assessments, and secure stakeholder alignment to launch new projects.
4. Partner with global cross functional teams and suppliers to develop, validate, and industrialize new or improved products on time. 
5. Mentor, coach, and review the work of junior engineers, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
6. Prepare project plans, also develop validation plans (DVPs) in accordance with international product certification standards like UL, IEC, ATEX etc.
7. Foster a culture of innovation and continuously grow the VAVE pipeline and execution efficiency.
8. Support capability development within the team through training, tools, methodologies, and knowledge sharing.
9. Utilization of engineering fundamentals, innovation, data analysis, manufacturing process details for the creation of new ideas."



Qualifications:

Required: Bachelors/Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering 
"1. 8–12 years of experience in engineering roles involving electrical assemblies(LV/MV), components, or systems.



Skills:

End-to-End new product execution: Led multiple medium complexity projects from concept to commercialization, including POC, verification, validation, and certification to global standards(UL, IEC etc.,).
Experience in Cost Out and VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) methodology and execution, exposure to global procurement practices would be an advantage.
Experience in partnering and developing suppliers and test labs for developement and validation of products
 Experience with supplier development and new product introduction (NPI) cycles.

1. Deep knowledge about various type of electrical assemblies, components and systems of LV / MV 
2. Strong hold on fundamentals of electrical engineering and understanding on multi-disciplinary concepts (Mechanical, thermal and electronic). And ability to work on multi domain products
3. Hands on experience in electrical products design and development through fundamentals, analytical and simulation tools.
4. Ability to select or suggest electrical components and devices as per requirements.
5. Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM/A, and similar quality & development frameworks.
6. Compliance with various strandards(UL, IEC) applicable to electrical products, ability to develop DVPs.
