Job DescriptionOverview

Transmission and Distribution Division includes teams working on different industries –Power T&D team. The Power T&D team is presently working on projects in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and ME The Power T&D team is looking for experienced engineers in Traction Power Supply expert, as we look to grow the team in line with business requirements. Your role
  • Can manage/handle Design & Engineering of large and complex projects in Traction power which includes Design Compliance, Design phases & review and Stakeholder Management.
  • Technical Specification & proposal for bids preparation
  • Preparation of Design basis, feasibility report, technical reports etc
  • Understand the importance of interfaces with various discipline and able to control
  • by mutually agreement without commercial impact.
  • Mentoring the team towards cross skill and enhance their skills by providing importance of Traction Power applications.
  • Aware latest international standards on Rail power in EN. IEEE, IEC, etc
  • Contribute to Tendering activities by supporting with preliminary design documentation & drawings, Bill of Quantities, Engineering Man Hour Estimates etc.
About you
  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with around 12 to 15 years of experience in Design and engineering of Traction Power Suplly.
  • Being worked in various technologies includes in Monorail, High Speed Rail, Metro & Inter state trains with 2x25KV, 1x25kV, 750Vdc & 1500Vdc systems.
  • Been part of at least 5 projects in both Third rail and Overhead line Engineering.
  • Hands-on Experience in design TSS & ASS, calculations, and Conceptual engineering
  • Experience in performing and review of following
    • Traction Power Simulation Studies
    • Gap Analysis & Equipment Validation
    • OLE design & Equipment validation
    • Stray current Management
    • EMC Plan & Management
    • Earthing & Bonding
    • RAM applications
    • Interface Engineering
    • Equipment Specifications including Rectifiers
    • DC Protection Philosophies
  • Ability to produce design documentation – Design Basis Report, Case Studies and Project Design Specification.
  • Member of IET & working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation.
  • Desirable – Worked in projects for UK, USA and other international
  • Strong English Communication Skills needed to co-ordinate with client and other internal stake holders.
  • Be a part of the team which is working at different geographical locations and co-ordinate for the needs of the project.
