  • Drive the prioritization and backlog management of business requirements, ensuring timely and value-driven delivery of enhancements and projects.
  • Provide domain expertise in life insurance products, policy administration systems, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that solutions meet both operational and industry standards.
  • Facilitate requirements validation sessions, user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and sign-off activities with business stakeholders.
  • Identify process gaps and propose business process improvements or digital transformation opportunities in collaboration with IT and business leaders.
  • Mentor and coach Business Analysts to strengthen analytical and communication capabilities, ensuring consistent standards and documentation quality.

B. Quality Assurance

  • Supervise QA activities to ensure thorough test planning, execution, and reporting across assigned projects.
  • Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test strategies to confirm alignment with business and system requirements.
  • Ensure defect management and tracking via JIRA (and JIRA Xray), collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Promote and enforce QA best practices, including automation opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the project lifecycle to minimize business impact.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, information security, and insurance regulatory standards throughout the testing process.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of QA tools, frameworks, and platforms to optimize efficiency and test coverage.
  • Drive alignment between the BA and QA functions to ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to test validation.

Experience/Skill:

  • 8+ years of experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with strong exposure to business analysis and quality assurance functions.
  • Proven experience leading teams of BAs and/or QAs across multiple, concurrent IT projects.
  • Experience in insurance or BFSI domain (preferred), with solid understanding of life insurance processes, products, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure high-quality system delivery.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, documentation, and change control.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and JIRA Xray. Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber) is a plus.

Knowledge/Skill:

  • Deep understanding of Business Analysis methodologies (BABOK-aligned preferred) and Software QA processes.
  • Ability to define and communicate a holistic BA–QA strategy aligned with enterprise goals. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including facilitation and presentation to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills to manage multiple parallel initiatives.
  • Adept at mentoring junior analysts and QAs, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Continuous learner with awareness of industry trends in business analysis, testing, automation, and digital insurance technology.
