Role Summary



The Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) provides technical, delivery, solution and engagement leadership across large-scale government Pega programs. The role is accountable for defining enterprise-grade architecture, leading Pega Constellation adaptation, and partnering with senior stakeholders to translate long-term business strategy into effective Pega solutions.



The LSA leads high-performing delivery teams, supports technical delivery across environments (dev/test/prod), defines architecture standards, and ensure high availability, performance and security of the Pega platform and its integrations.



What success looks like in this role



  • Lead solution architecture and detailed design for Pega applications using Pega Constellation
  • Define case, data, integration, and UI design patterns aligned to Constellation and Pega guardrails
  • Plan and execute Pega platform migrations with minimal business disruption
  • Design, implement, and operationalize integrations with external platforms including Kafka (event streaming) , ElasticSearch, REST / SOAP services and enterprise data sources
  • Define and enforce:
    • Application and ruleset layering standards
    • Reuse and framework patterns
    • CI/CD and deployment strategies across multi-environment landscapes
  • Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure authoring quality and consistency
  • Mentor and guide CSSAs, System Architects, and development teams
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with business outcomes, security, and compliance requirements

You will be successful in this role if you have



  • Led at least one end-to-end Pega Customer Service implementation
  • Proven experience driving Pega Constellation implementation
  • Deep understanding of Pega platform internals, integration patterns, and deployment pipelines
  • The ability to balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability and upgrade readiness
  • Confidence leading technical discussions with architects, developers, and senior stakeholders
  • Strong hands-on capability in Pega latest features
  • A quality-first mindset with a strong focus on guardrails, reuse, and platform health

You will be successful in this role if you have:



Mandatory



  • Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) certification
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience delivering large-scale Pega implementations
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Pega Customer Service and Government solutions
    • Pega Constellation (DX API, Views, Data-driven UI)
    • Enterprise integration (REST, SOAP, RDBMS)
  • Strong experience in:
    • Solution design, estimation, and delivery leadership
    • Migration of data into Pega based solutions
    • Handling non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor teams and influence technical direction
  • Experience in Government environments and Agile delivery methods
  • Experience leading onshore and offshore delivery teams

Desirable



  • Hands-on experience designing solutions using Pega Constellation architecture
  • Experience on Pega Blueprint and Gen AI capabilities.
  • Experience with Australian Government platforms or agencies
  • Exposure to cloud deployments (AWS / Azure / Government Cloud)
