The Lead Software Engineer for HemoCue is responsible for HemoCue’s digital solutions which includes mobile, desktop and cloud applications.


This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the software team responsible for HemoCue’s digital solutions located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Design and develop the web API as per the product architecture, requirements ensuring adherence to the software development processes
  • Design and Develop the UI/UX targeting web application as per the product architecture, requirements ensuring adherence to the software development processes
  • Code and unit testing of the feature/modules including appropriate design reviews and code inspections
  • Investigate software/system problems to isolate the root cause and provide innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (locally & globally), Create and maintain technical documentation

The essential requirements of the job include:


  • Bachelor of Engineering or Masters in software engineering or Masters in Computer Applications or equivalent
  • 6-10 years of proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs with strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8+, OOPs principles, Data structures and Design patterns.
  • Hands-On experience in SpringBoot, Spring Data JPA and Spring Security.
  • Experience in software development on web pages using SpringBoot, SQL, ReactJS, Redux toolkit and typescript
  • Expert in microservices architecture and Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and NoSQL and in defining scalable API using Swagger or similar

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • Working experience on cloud, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge in Big Data system and data warehousing would be a plus
  • Good knowledge in secure coding practices.
