The Role: Sr. Software Engineer (Full Stack Angular & Python).


The Team


The EDO Tech team partners closely with the business to deliver data integration solutions and design complex UI and ETL jobs, requiring strong day-to-day communication and collaboration. The team focuses on building and maintaining high-volume data management processes, with a culture centered on innovation and reusable engineering patterns. 


An ideal candidate will have a key role in accelerating the adoption and operational excellence of our Data Platform across the organization. This individual contributor will collaborate with platform users, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver robust data solutions and drive best practices. They should be comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies.

This role helps ensure seamless front-to-back integration across Angular user experiences and Python services that power ETL/data workflows. By enabling reliable, scalable high-volume data pipelines and interfaces, the position supports faster, higher-quality data availability that influences business responsiveness and decision-making.

Responsibilities


  • Build and enhance user-facing features using Angular/TypeScript, ensuring performance and responsiveness.
  • Develop Python-based backend services (e.g., Django/Flask/FastAPI) supporting data/ETL workflows.
  • Design, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs/microservices, enabling clean front-end/back-end integration.
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases for data storage, mapping, and manipulation at scale.
  • Contribute to code quality via reviews, testing, troubleshooting/debugging, and security best practices.
  • Participate across the SDLC including CI/CD and deployment automation where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues, providing timely resolutions.

What We’re Looking For


Key qualifications


  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular (plus HTML/CSS/TypeScript) and Python frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
  • 5+ Experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Python programming and data manipulation libraries
  • Proven experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL/SQL Server/Oracle; SQL/NoSQL concepts).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and service integration; familiarity with Git.
  • Preferred background: BS in CS/IS/Engineering/Math and significant relevant experience (e.g., 7+ years overall; AWS/ETL experience a plus).
