Project description The Platform Drivers team is on the lookout for a dynamic, energetic software engineer who can design, develop, and maintain clean and robust code. If you understand the intricacies of the Linux kernel and device drivers, this is the role for you. Join us! As a key contributor to the success of the client's IP, you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance client's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. Responsibilities Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Linux kernel, focusing on Linux Network drivers and Linux Network stack, and related subsystems. Develop, test, and optimize kernel patches for L2 (MAC) Layer device drivers and related subsystems to enhance functionality, reliability and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements in the Linux kernel. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Linux Network driver and related software stack in the Linux kernel. Stay updated with the latest developments in the Linux kernel community and contribute to upstream projects. Document design specifications, technical details, and user guides for developed features and patches. Skills Must have At least 7+ years of job experience, with at least 5+ years of Linux driver development experience. Proven experience in Linux kernel development with a focus on Networking driver and related stack. Strong understanding of Networking Concepts, Protocols and software layers within the Linux kernel. Demonstrated contributions to Linux kernel patches and upstream projects. Proficiency in C programming and kernel debugging tools. Solid understanding of computer architecture, networking technologies, and I/O subsystems. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Synopsis Ethernet IP would be significantly advantageous Nice to have Bachelor's/master's in engineering.
