Organization Objective/Purpose: This position in the Engineering team under the Digital Experience organization. We drive the first mile of the customer experience through personalization of offers and content. We are currently on the lookout for a smart, highly driven software engineer. You will be part of a team that is focused on building solutions, pipelines using latest engineering design principles and tech stacks. You will also be expected to Identify, design, and implement improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery and automate continuous integration and deployment processes/pipelines. The incumbent is also expected to partner with various patners, bring scientific rigor to design and develop high quality software. She / He also must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, ‘startup’ environment within a larger company. Responsibilities You will play a key role as a Data Scientist in designing and delivering AI-based analytical solutions to support and enhance analytics initiatives. As part of the Data Intelligence team within DX, you will assist in the design and development of AI-based automated analytics solutions, tools, and applications. These efforts help expand the capabilities of Epsilon’s analytics application platforms and improve productivity by reducing manual effort, optimizing costs, and increasing efficiency. You will work closely with senior engineers, Analytics, and Engineering teams, contributing to multi-functional projects and gaining hands-on experience in delivering impactful solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience (or strong academic/project experience) Exposure to developing or supporting AI-based tools, data processing pipelines, and analytics solutions Tech Stack: Python, PySpark (or Spark basics), SQL / PLSQL Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) through projects, APIs, or academic work Familiarity with distributed data platforms (such as Hadoop or Greenplum) and data tools (Databricks, Tableau) Experience using ML libraries such as scikit-learn; basic exposure to tensorflow or keras is a plus Good understanding of core Machine Learning concepts and foundational Deep Learning principles Ability to assist in creating dashboards and visualizations under guidance Exposure to AdTech or MarTech concepts is an added advantage Good written and verbal communication skills; willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment Strong analytical outlook with the ability to understand and interpret data-driven insights Data Management Exposure to building Data and ML pipelines Familiarity with MLOps concepts and tools such as Airflow and MLFlow• Basic experience working with structured and unstructured data Hands-on experience or coursework involving ETL workflows and ML pipelines Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL (NoSQL exposure is a plus) Exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure, Databricks preferred) Good understanding of Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and Data Catalog concepts Familiarity with Data Lake architectures and handling structured and unstructured data Ability to identify, explore, and analyze data from multiple sources and formats under guidance Experience in cleaning and preparing data, handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies Ability to work with moderately large datasets and apply data transformations efficiently Architecture and Infrastructure Good knowledge of working in UNIX/LINUX systems In addition, the candidate should have strong eye for business, and interpersonal and communication skills, yet also be able to work independently. He /she should be able to communicate findings and the way techniques work in a manner that all partners, both technical and non-technical, will understand.
