Responsibilities Craft and enhance mainframe applications using programming languages including COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Analyze and resolve bugs and performance issues in existing systems.
Collaborate with team members to understand functional specifications and translate them into technical designs.
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
Create comprehensive documentation for all applications and processes.
Continuously seek ways to optimize performance and improve system functionalities.
Engage in ongoing learning to stay up-to-date with mainframe technologies and contemporary software development practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8+ years experience in mainframe development, particularly with COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
Experience in working with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
Proficient with mainframe tools and technologies.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within the Vantage team.
