The Manager role is responsible for end to end management of Brexit lanes UK<> EU. The job involves end to end business planning including but not limited to creating action plans and strategy for execution, ensuring rigor and designing high business impact processes. The individual must be comfortable and confident liaising with remote teams and senior leaders. The individual will manage teams which directly works on creating business impact via functional activities. The role involves influencing peers and stakeholders in other functions to achieve the operational and business goals assigned. The successful candidate should have the ability to work at all levels of detail to accomplish team/organization goals. Identify strengths of process and contribute to talent advancement along with succession planning opportunities within the team. The ideal candidate actively seeks to understand Amazon’s core business values and initiatives, and translates those into everyday practices.
In this role, you have to be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and passion for data, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
This individual will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key influencer's and decision-makers within the senior management teams of existing accounts, along with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements.
Key job responsibilities
1. As the manager of this team, you will own aspects of the group’s success, including the development & delivery of team goals, developing the careers of your team members and managing for performance, whilst ensuring the delivery of a large portfolio of projects that is consistently on time and within budget.
2. You will be responsible for driving process improvement and standardization across your team whilst ensuring key project performance metrics are met.
3. You will help drive improvements by working with partner teams to eliminate waste, increasing productivity and coach your team to do the same by delegating tasks and utilizing individual strengths.
4. Lead initiatives to identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation & 3P provider operations.
5. Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Brokers) and internal customers (M3, ACES, Intermodal teams, Tech, SC, Fulfillment Centers).
6. Must be able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions.
7. Collaborate with multiple Level 5/6/7 EU stakeholders, fostering cross-functional alignment and driving initiatives forward.
A day in the life
The role supports one of the critical functions, but not limited to, EU Compliance programs. In this, you will need to work with cross functional teams varying from program, product, marketing and tech to build strategies.
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- 5+ years of team management experience
- Experience leading cross-functional programs in warehousing, logistics, transportation, supply chain, loss prevention, accidents or site closures
