Role Purpose


A member of the EMEAA HLG supporting projects across Europe, IMEA, and EAPAC, with a focus on pre-pipeline design support and documentation review to ensure high-quality, brand-aligned design outcomes consistent with each brand’s requirements.
 


Key Accountabilities


• Works closely with the region’s HLG’s team in delivering the reviews and BSRs required for new build properties.    Delivering with on-brand and cost-efficient designs, space planning, and interior design considerations.
• Solutions Focused reviews and outputs
• Liaising with the in market Design and Engineering team to deliver projects, as required.
• Delivers the process of reviewing Hotel projects in terms of IHG design standards, including concept design, schematic/ Detailed Design & Tender documentation, periodic site inspections and Pre-opening inspections.
• Incorporate our Global Journey to Tomorrow and sustainability agenda where required
• Ensure any updates or changes are understood and included in future projects
• Input Project Waivers
• Ensure compliance with agreed Prototype standards


Critical Expertise, Experience and Educational Attainment Required


Educational Attainment:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
 


Critical Expertise & Experience:
• Typically, 3 plus years direct combined experience in design, construction, project management of hospitality projects. Experience of working with international hotel brands is desired.
• Strong knowledge of architectural, design, and construction principles, with an understanding of applicable laws
• A self-starter who is a committed team player with flexible interpersonal style; effective communication and project management skills; strong influencing skills; experience in a multi-national environment and ability to deal sensitively with different cultural issues and competing requirements.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight and team player who collaborates well with others to drive consensus in pressure and deadline filled environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
