Position Summary
Job Title: Manager – Learning & Development
Job Location: Bengaluru


Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of leadership and behavioural training programs for Chubb Business Services India (CBSI). The successful candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, program management, and facilitation, with a focus on creating engaging learning experiences that drive business results.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality leadership and behavioural training programs using instructional design techniques and adult learning principles.
  • Create engaging learner experiences using gamification elements, interactive simulations, role-plays, case-studies and other innovative approaches.
  • Facilitate leadership and behavioural sessions, both in-person and virtually, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and application.
  • Conduct needs assessments and analyse data to identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, timelines, and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and relevance of content.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to support program delivery.

Role Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in HR, Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on leadership and behavioural trainings.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, program management, and facilitation.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.

Key Skills & Competencies:


  • Technical:
    • Knowledge of e-learning authoring tools and software (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
    • Good knowledge of gamification and simulation-based learning.
    • Familiarity with tools like Mentimeter, Kahoot, Poll Everywhere.
  • Instructional Design:
    • Knowledge of instructional design models and principles (e.g. ADDIE, 6Ds in Learning).
    • Experience with learning needs assessment and analysis.
    • Ability to design engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Tools: Good knowledge of
    • Learning management systems (LMS) such as Workday, Cornerstone, or similar.
    • E-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Learning Program Management:
    • Program design and development.
    • Project management and coordination.
    • Budgeting and resource allocation.
    • Learning Evaluation and assessment.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
