RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a team of backend big data software engineers
Ability to transform a user story/concept into a working scalable system
Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, effectively manage priorities and communicate progress
Develop, automate, and enhance SaaS/PaaS platforms built on AWS
Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
Develop applications that are fault-tolerant, scalable, and resilient using Scala, Java, Kafka, and Microservices frameworks
Suggest and implement best practices and architecture improvements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering 9+ years of experience with backend big data technologies
Previous development experience with Spark, Scala, Kafka, SQL, EMR, S3, Airflow, Hive, and Java6+ years of hands-on experience in server-side development4+ years of experience as a manager or 5+ years as a team lead
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline best practices and associated tools
Have worked in Agile and DevOps environment and have good understanding of SDLC
Experience with Cloud Native Applications, preferably in AWS
