About the Role


The Marketing Automation Architect role will strengthen our Marketing Technology and Data Team to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and overall impact of marketing campaigns. This role will work in close collaboration with Springer Nature Marketers to define holistic customer journeys and drive growth in the number of authors submitting articles to our specific, subject-based research collections.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Support the Marketing teams in designing automated cross-channel customer engagement programs that identify the right researchers to invite them as authors for call for papers of our special issues across more than 3,000 scientific journals. 


  • Advise and consult on ways to expedite the adoption of Marketing Automation and extract the most value from our technology stack and data landscape to support strategic business goals and personalised marketing programmes. .


  • Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing by moving beyond operational support to provide purpose-built self-service frameworks for scaling our marketing automation.


  • Champion an experimental/pilot-led approach to marketing to drive innovation and shape technology/data requirements that enable enhanced communication with our customers.


  • Provide analysis and project management support to tech and data-related marketing projects and teams.


What you will be doing


Within 3 Months you will:


  • Have completed our onboarding process, met with relevant internal project stakeholders and be folded into regular stand ups and work streams for the special issue project


 By 3-6 months you will:


  • Be actively working with key stakeholders to gather upcoming requirements – liaising with business and tech counterparts to initiate and roll out new workflows and processes


By 6-12 months you will:


  • Be independently enabling the rollout of future use-cases related to special issues and supporting key martech projects across the B2C business. 


About You


  • Experience in marketing automation management, marketing campaign management, or any other marketing campaigns/automation role.


  • Subject matter expertise in one or more marketing automation platforms, including but not limited to HubSpot, Braze, Pardot, etc.


  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.


  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization and being a translater between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 


Being fluent in English is important; collaboration is important in our day-to-day work, so being able to communicate your ideas and understand others is key.
