Job DescriptionPurpose
Takeda India is seeking a Marketing Head, Vaccines. The successful candidate will have a proven record of Vaccines marketing strategy development and execution, people leadership and commercial goal attainment. This is a highly visible and strategically important role for Takeda Vaccines. We are looking for an inspiring commercial leader and highly experienced marketer who can lead the way!
The Marketing Head, Vaccines will lead the vaccines marketing strategy and execution for the dengue vaccine, focusing on driving growth for the immunization rates for pediatrics, adolescents and adults. This role is strategic and highly visible, with significant responsibility to build the India Dengue Vaccines Market.

Key Responsibilities
This role will provide the opportunity to lead key marketing activities, including the following:
- Collaborate across a matrix team, including global/regional commercial partners.
- Oversee creation and implementation of strategic and operating plans.
- Ensure strategic alignment across functional stakeholder groups.
- Provide clarity on specific accountabilities to team members.
- Lead external partners, including the agency of record.
- Manage product lifecycles and achieve short- and long-range forecasts.
- Ownership of delivering topline and bottom line financial outcomes.
- Ensure reliable supply.
- Define metrics and assess brand performance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of marketing managers, and associates.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace.
- Define customer insights, journeys, segmentation, product positioning, creative strategy, core messaging, and content plans.

Leadership:
- Influence and persuade across multiple internal stakeholders
- Serve as primary point of contact for Marketing
- Infuse Takeda Ways of Working in day-to-day leadership and management of the business.

Action and Accountability:
- Lead Vaccines yearly strategic and financial planning process, Brand Planning, MRP & LRF.
- Delivery of Financial objectives with inspirational collaboration with NSHs
- Coach and inspire the Marketing and Cross Functional teams to high performance within the Takeda ways of working
Strategic Impact:
- Utilize research and insights to scenario plan, segment stakeholders, innovate, optimize investment, and formulate the channel access and pricing strategies across a diverse set of stakeholders, landscapes and at different points in product life cycles.
Work with Payer marketing to formulate and adjust various channel business plans and actions to achieve business objectives and goals, including financial, constituents and market results based on objective approach through analysis and segmentation of opportunities to achieve strategic access objectives for formulary penetration.
- Establish close external and internal bridges to incorporate current and future product positioning and pricing into a comprehensive long-term view of access across channels.
- Participate with internal and external stakeholders to inform/influence product access.
Collaboration:
- Effectively lead the transference of knowledge throughout the organization (e.g. Brand Teams, Payer Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Sales teams and KAMs) to enable high vaccine coverage rates in pediatrics, adolescents and adults.
- Create customer connections in collaboration with sales teams to influence their POV and to create synergy with Takeda position on future view and approaches to the market.
- Work effectively with multiple cross-functional to assimilate leading insights to ensure successfully incorporate planning, positioning and strategy.
- Ensuring coordination with above country stakeholders on Brand Planning, MRP, LRF and other business processes

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree. MBA/Masters degree a plus.
- 15+ years of commercial experience, including marketing management, sales management, and/or market access
- Experience in India Vaccines brand marketing & Sales.
- Direct people management experience.
- Ability to drive a “One TAKEDA” enterprise mindset and perspective in all strategies.
- Have strong ethical judgement and ability to operate with in Takeda Code of Conduct and relevant policies & SOPs.
- 8+ years of vaccines marketing experience.
- Experience in brand lifecycle management, senior leader engagement, matrix team leadership, category/disease and product strategy development, customer insight, messaging, campaign, creative development, agency management, and budget management (P&L ownership).
- Direct market access experience, specifically contract strategies across trade channels. Understanding of channels, pricing, and market access strategies.
- Vaccines experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to analyze market and brand opportunities and develop actionable insights.
- Recognizes trade-offs and prioritizes short/long-term needs.
- Demonstrates a sense of ownership for the shared success of the team and asset.
