• Network Products is a team driving product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and execution of the future of Mastercard’s global core payments network. The payments network is Mastercard’s core strategic asset and providing the platform for other key products and services.
• This position will join a Product Development team of Product owners to deliver for the Access domain of the Network Solutions program in partnership with the cross-functional global stakeholders: Product Management, Engineering, Customer delivery, Support chain community, Product Operations.
Role
Within Network Product, the Senior Specialist, Product Development will be supporting the execution of new to market product development, performing the following activities:
• Participate in the development of new products and product enhancements.
• Provide designs specifications to develop new products or their components.
• Define functional, technical requirements, flows.
• Partner with Engineering colleagues by providing prioritized requirements to create robust roadmaps that include all the work required for product readiness.
• Provide information to the engineering organization to assist in translating product requirements into technical specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on Engineering deliverables.
• Perform assigned tasks in the product development life cycle; areas of focus may include features, benefits, pricing, rules, and implementation guidelines.
• Partner with Product & Engineering partners and our UX/UI team on concept validation and market testing and deliver key tasks associated with it.
• Working with internal colleagues across functions and job families, leveraging internal resources
• Partner with Servicing teams - to ensure that the new Product has a robust E2E servicing plan that enables a great end-user and customer experience.
• Prepare various reports on the status of product components.
• Produce product documentation including user guides, product guide, product overviews and training material.
• Support product launches and implementations.
All about you
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- 5 plus years of Product management/development/owner experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of product management and engineering principles
- Consulting mindset and experience in elaborating requirements, designing solutions, and understanding systems capabilities and limitations by executing on features and enhancements.
- Experience in various elements of the new product development process - product strategy, end to end consumer & customer experience, operations, and performance.
- Experience working collaboratively with product, engineering and UX designers.
- Problem-solving and pragmatic mindset, analytical skills, and attention to documentation.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced presentation/PowerPoint skills
- Passionate and knowledgeable about technology, innovation, payments and digital commerce & eager to learn.

Being curious enough to keep talking to the customer, and to keep asking questions until you truly understand what they “need” rather than just what they say they “want”, will be a key part of the success criteria for this role. Also, be curious enough to understand the end to end flow of a business process.
