Job Title: Mech Eng II - Prod Dev


Location: Pune


What you will do


Design and develop industrial refrigeration products and components with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, and marketing to ensure product feasibility and alignment with business goals. Apply engineering principles to develop innovative solutions and improve existing product lines. Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings, and BOMs. Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and validation testing. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Support product launches and provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.


How you will do it


  • Proficient in mechanical design and be able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product.
  • Utilizing mechanical engineering theory and methodologies, to complete design according to customer requirement and specification of orders, and follow the project schedule and lead time.
  • 3D modeling refrigeration product, output customer draws according to customer specification and requirement on time.
  • Output PV & HX drafting and specification according to order requirement, and submit to PV engineer on time.
  • Complete Manufacturing and fabrication docs include drawings, BOM, and other relevant ones.
  • Make all the completed technical docs correctly, meet the requirements come from order specification, local and overseas codes.
  • Work to established schedules to meet internal and external delivery engineering documents. Responsible for the on-time completion of projects.
  • Track and control product cost, and warranty expenses.
  • Investigate and analyze product design requirements and cost for recommendations and optimum solutions.
  • Uses standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in field.
  • Works closely with the application, electrical and instrument engineer and pressure vessel engineer, etc. teams to complete order accurately.
  • Continuously increases expertise on all aspects of product design, theory, construction, operation, and applications.
  • Learns and applies regulatory codes such as China GB code, ASME, and API in design.
  • Strives for continuous improvement and teamwork in mechanical design and order process.

What we look for


Required


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and above in Mechanical Engineering  or equal scinese degree.
  • Minimum 4 -7 years’ of applicable experience. Has knowledge of refrigeration equipment designs.
  • Proficiency in Mechanical design applications software as AutoCAD, inventor/PRO-E.
  • Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and product validation processes.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Good written & verbal skills in English

Preferred


  • Experience with natural refrigerants (e.g., ammonia, CO₂).
  • Exposure to lean product development and agile methodologies.
  • Prior experience working with global teams and suppliers.
