The Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP) will be responsible for the design, development, and coordination of mechanical and MEP systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role involves preparing detailed design drawings, performing system calculations, coordinating with electrical and fire alarm teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements.
Prepare mechanical and MEP design drawings using AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
Design and develop HVAC systems, ventilation layouts, and related mechanical services
Perform heat load calculations using HAP and lighting calculations using Dialux (as required for coordination)
Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical systems, CCTV, fire alarm, and other allied services
Develop detailed layouts, schematics, sections, and BOQs for mechanical systems
Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve inter-discipline clashes using Navisworks
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and local regulations
Support project execution teams with design clarifications and technical inputs
Review drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy, constructability, and efficiency
Assist in value engineering and optimization of mechanical systems
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
4 to 8 years of relevant experience in MEP mechanical design
Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial projects
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
Experience with HAP and Dialux for system calculations
Proficiency in Navisworks for design coordination and clash detection
Good understanding of HVAC systems, ventilation, and mechanical services
Knowledge of electrical, CCTV, and fire alarm system coordination
Ability to interpret design requirements and technical specifications
Strong coordination and communication skills
