Marmon Global Innovation Center (GIC), a division of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Senior lead thermal engineer to guide junior engineers and drive long-term projects for Coilmaster Corporation, a leading Marmon company specializing in fin and tube heat exchangers. This senior role is responsible for end-to-end software development of Coilmaster’s EzCoil coil selection and thermal-fluid modelling platform. The Sr. lead engineer will leverage their domain expertise in thermal-fluid sciences to architect, develop, and validate models while ensuring reliable and efficient implementation in code. Strong project management and scheduling skills are required to coordinate deliverables across multiple initiatives.

Mandatory Skills



  • Deep knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics applied to HVAC.
  • Direct experience with fin-and-tube heat exchangers, including air- and fluid-side heat transfer and pressure drop.
  • Familiarity with AHRI/ASHRAE standards for coils and related HVAC equipment.
  • Strong understanding of pump curves, hydronic circuits, and pump-skid sizing/selection.
  • Experience developing and validating coil and hydronic models with lab or field data, using MATLAB or Python for analysis and curve fitting.

Desired Skills



  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Fortran, VB, C#, C++).
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Hands-on experience in software testing, debugging, and model validation
  • Hands-on experience in heat exchangers

Required Qualifications



• Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.d degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Automotive
• 10-12 years of professional experience in Thermal domain  
• Strong command over hand calculations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
