To support the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire in Bangalore a dynamic and motivated Mechanical & Industrialization Engineer – Traction Power Systems - SHIN.
As a key member of the engineering team, interfacing with our production sites, your primary responsibilities will include: Production Transfer & Coordination: Interface with customer project teams and global production sites to facilitate the seamless transfer of manufacturing to the Bangalore facility.
Technical Problem Solving: Provide on-site technical support to resolve complex mechanical issues during the production and assembly phases.
Design & Documentation: Update and maintain mechanical documentation using SOLIDWORKS for traction cubicles and converter station products, incorporating modifications from customer project teams and production feedback.
Solution Engineering: Design and implement cost-effective, high-quality technical solutions that align with current technology trends, resource availability, and customer specifications.
Follow the PDM workflow to submit design improvements.
Data Management: Manage the creation and modification of Bills of Materials (BOM) within the ORACLE ERP system to ensure accurate documentation from the prototype stage through full-scale production.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with the procurement team to provide mechanical engineering expertise and collaborate with production staff to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Initiative: Take decisive action to resolve malfunctions in client converter projects and manage workflows to ensure all deliverables meet strict project schedules.
Knowledge Sharing: Providing conceptual and structural mechanical insights to optimize project implementation and manufacturing efficiency.
Candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility in his/her working hours to ensure effective collaboration with production sites and international stakeholders across different time zones.
  Qualification and Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in power systems and general mechanical engineering background.
SKILLS: Proficiency in 3D CAD Software.
Strong understanding of Mechanical Design Principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, interacting with international colleagues (mainly Europe) PDM experience (Preferred) Knowledge and proficiency in ERP tools (Oracle is a plus) Fluent in written and spoken English Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment and industry standards (e.
g., IEC, UL) is a plus.
