From redesigning our customers’ experience with our Modern Data platforms and services, to evolving our own internal tools and ways of working, we are taking deliberate steps to invest and innovate in critical areas to delight our customers and outdistance our competitors. Our FlashArray team is looking for Software Engineers who can help drive this digital transformation and set Pure up for continued growth. 


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING... 


  • Building and reviewing performance benchmarking requirements and metrics to ensure all of FlashArray products deliver the best performance on the platforms they run on;
  • Researching and developing performance benchmarking strategies for different product features, come up with best practices for performance planning and work with solutions and sales engineering to validate customer scenarios and requirements as needed;
  • Contributing to the automation of performance benchmarking, data collection and analysis;
  • Tracking performance benchmarking goals during release cycles to ensure build to build performance regressions are caught and addressed in a timely manner;
  • Assisting in validating new performance enhancements, evaluating new architectures to drive improvements and work closely with the development teams to collect, interpret and analyze data from different performance experiments;
  • Managing the performance test beds, keep them up to date on hardware and software and make them available for internal tests and experimentation as needed;
  • Analyzing test results, identifying bottlenecks and working with development to address the issues. 
  • You will be based in Bangalore, Karnataka. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

 WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...


  • MS in Computer Science or related technical field, BS with comparable experience;
  • 4+ years experience in building systems software including experience in system level performance testing for servers, storage and databases; 
  • knowledge of SAN iSCSI, NFS, SMB protocols;
  • Strong experience with Linux systems (network configuration, storage stack, system settings, common command/utilities);
  • Prior experience in Python and C++ is preferred;
  • Prior experience with NAND flash and FIO are pluses;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; commitment to delivering great software and releasing it efficiently and with increasing quality. 

You will be based in Bangalore, India. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
