This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 800000 - Rs 2300000 (ie INR 8-23 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: New Delhi, NCR JobType: full-time The Network & Security Engineer – L2 will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise network and security infrastructure.
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in routing, switching, firewall technologies, and network security, along with the ability to resolve complex L2/L3 issues in a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide L2-level support for enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and security environments.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and QoS services.
Troubleshoot and optimize routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and RIP.
Support high-availability protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP.
Manage and troubleshoot Cisco-based network infrastructure including Meraki, Nexus (7K/5K/2K), Catalyst (6500, 4500, 3750, 3560), and related platforms.
Configure and manage Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, including zones, policies, objects, and VPN tunnels.
Support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Cisco ISE for network access control and authentication.
Work with MPLS VPN architectures and enterprise WAN connectivity.
Monitor network performance, identify issues proactively, and ensure SLA compliance.
Handle incidents, changes, and service requests using ITIL-based ticketing systems.
Collaborate with L3 teams, vendors, and service providers for advanced issue resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications CCIE trained or CCIE certified (mandatory).
CCNP certification in Routing & Switching and/or Firewall technologies.
Strong hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and firewall technologies.
In-depth knowledge of routing and switching concepts and L2/L3 protocols.
Experience with network security best practices and firewall policy management.
Knowledge of MPLS VPN technologies and enterprise WAN designs.
Exposure to cloud networking concepts (Azure preferred).
Experience working in ITIL-driven operational environments with a focus on service delivery.
