Our client is seeking an Operational Management Coordinator to join their team in the Supermarket chain in Africa.
A highly motivated and experienced specialist in Supermarket Operational Management Control is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of supermarket operations. Focus areas include controlling operational processes, stock and inventory management, monitoring shrinkage, supervising internal and external perimeters, providing accurate customer information, and managing product expiration dates. This role also involves selecting, recruiting, training, leading, and motivating the Operational Management Control team.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, lead, and motivate the Operational Management Control team for the stores.
- Coordinate and supervise stock control, monitor stock levels, and adjust restocking orders to ensure adequate product availability, following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures.
- Implement and maintain shrinkage/loss control systems, identifying causes and proposing solutions to reduce losses.
- Oversee and coordinate the security of the supermarket’s internal and external perimeters, ensuring the implementation of theft, vandalism, and other illegal activity prevention measures.
- Coordinate and monitor internal security to ensure the safety of individuals and property within the store premises.
- Ensure accurate product and merchandise labeling, guaranteeing the accuracy and consistency of information provided to customers.
- Implement product expiration procedures with the team to ensure the accuracy and consistency of information communicated to customers.
- Analyze data and reports related to operational management control, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments, such as logistics, purchasing, and human resources, to ensure effective communication and the implementation of best practices across the organization.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with established policies and guidelines.
