Payroll Lead


The Opportunity:


Commvault is looking for a Payroll Lead to join our team!  The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Commvault’s payroll processing utilizing ADP as the payroll provider. Additionally, prepare journal entries and handle account reconciliation, assisting with the monthly financial close in a fast-paced Finance department.


The right candidate will be a team player, resourceful, self-motivated and will have a strong background in payroll management, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.


What you’ll do…


  • Process payroll for international countries utilizing ADP/Celergo.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information.
  • Manage payroll functions with patience; ability to adapt to constant changing requirements of multiple countries.
  • Work with ADP, Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure required taxes, social contributions, benefit programs and other deductions are handled in accordance with local laws and regulations for each country.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all payroll activities.
  • Understand global payroll to determine appropriate accounting treatment of payroll transactions; complete required payroll journal entries and reconciliations for multi countries; comply with Commvault’s company policies and controls.
  • Process payroll related wire payments for employee net pay, tax payments and benefit payments.
  • Prepare journal entries and handle account reconciliation, assisting with the monthly and quarterly financial close.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during payroll audits.
  • Manage and train team.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Benefits, and other departments to streamline payroll processes.
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll matters.

Who you are?


  • MBA/CA/CWA Inter completed, master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Global Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software.
  • Proficient with systems, MS Office.
  • Proven experience in managing a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
