Job Summary


Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) – Smart Dispute


8+ years of experience


We are seeking an experienced Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) to work as a senior hands-on developer on Pega Smart Dispute implementations within a banking environment. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently on design and development tasks.

Full Time Employment as a Pega Senior System Architect


Responsibilities


  • Design and develop Pega Smart Dispute solutions as a senior individual contributor.
  • Customize and extend OOTB Smart Dispute flows for fraud, merchant disputes, and billing errors across Credit, Debit, ATM.
  • Implement case types, case lifecycle, flows, SLAs, data pages, activities, declarative rules, and UI components.
  • Design and support integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and Kafka.
  • Ensure solutions are upgrade-compatible and aligned with Visa and Mastercard rule updates (Visa ROL, MCOM).
  • Design and implement parent–child case structures and bulk dispute processing.
  • Perform debugging and performance tuning using Tracer, PAL, PDC, and Database Tracer.
  • Configure access controls including Access Groups, Roles, and ABAC.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, support deployments, and resolve production issues.
  • Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to Pega Guardrails and coding standards.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge sharing within the team as required.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Pega Smart Dispute and various internal and external systems.
  • Design and implement API solutions to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional integrations.
  • Document all development processes, changes, and integrations for future reference and compliance purposes.

Experience


  • 8+ years of hands-on Pega development experience.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Pega Smart Dispute.
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) – mandatory.
  • Experience with Pega Smart Dispute implementations within the financial services industry is preferred.

Skills


  • Strong experience in Case Management, Integrations, SLAs, and Performance tuning.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Collaboration Flow and Allocation Flow.
  • Strong domain knowledge of chargeback, pre-arbitration, and arbitration processes.
  • Exposure to Visa and Mastercard dispute processing is a highly preferred (e.g. VTC CS tool / VCR)
  • Experience in test data preparation and use of simulation tools for testing dispute scenarios.
  • Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • Pega Smart Dispute certification/badge highly preferred.
