JD- Quality and Procurement (Goa) - SE, GT GS - We are seeking an experienced Quality and Procurement Engineer for our GT GS Goa factory, where STATCOM and HVDC converters are assembled. This role is critical in supporting the assembly process and requires close coordination with the Converter Factory in Nuremberg for quality topics, as well as with SCM colleagues in Gurugram.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and address any quality issues or defects in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production cycle.
Supplier Management: - Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
Safety Requirements: - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards in procurement and quality assurance activities.
- Promote a culture of safety within the team and across the organization.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide training and resources to employees to ensure a safe working environment.
Reporting and Documentation: - Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities and procurement transactions.
- Generate & present detailed quality reports, including key performance indicators KPIs, trend analysis.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/ Bachelors in Engineering.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in the electrical industry, with a focus on quality assurance and procurement.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and procurement best practices.
- Certified internal auditor for ISO 9001 is a benefit
- Experience in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and inventory management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani is preferred.
