Practice Lead - eCommerce Management
Location: Chennai/Bangalore (preferred) * Experience: 14-16 years * Function: Digital Commerce CoE * Role Type: Full-time, Practice + Delivery Leadership
Role Summary
You will lead our eCommerce Management practice across platforms (e.g., SFCC, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify Plus, SAP Commerce), owning storefront operations, merchandising, taxonomy/PIM, on site search, promotions, and conversion optimization. You'll partner with Analytics, SEO, and Tech to deliver an outcome driven eCommerce roadmap, support RFP/RFI solutioning, and transform existing processes to improve speed to value and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
A. Commerce Strategy & Governance
* Define the commerce strategy (assortment, taxonomy, pricing/promo rules, onsite search, recommendations)
* Create operating playbooks/SOPs for content ops, releases, and trade updates across regions
* Establish SLAs/AHT standards for BAU tasks (new category builds, promotions, bundles, PDP content)
B. Storefront Operations & Optimization
* Direct PLP/PDP optimization (copy, imagery, badges, sort rules, facets, availability, size/color coverage)
* Own on site search tuning and zero result remediation; drive attach/basket analysis and bundling
* Lead checkout/CX improvements (payments, performance, accessibility, mobile) and returns policies
* Manage PIM/DAM workflows; synchronize with CMS (AEM/Headless) and marketplaces
C. Platform & Integration Leadership
* Partner with engineering on platform roadmaps (SFCC/Magento/Shopify/SAP Commerce), headless/hybrid architectures
* Govern data layer specs for Enhanced Ecommerce and analytics instrumentation (GA4/GTM)
* Oversee integrations (OMS/ERP/CRM/CDP, feeds, loyalty, personalization, CDN, caching, search providers)
D. Client Engagement & Pre Sales
* Shape RFP/RFI responses: scope, solution blueprints, effort/FTE models, transition/ramp plans
* Run discovery, build ROI models, and present transformation roadmaps to business & IT leaders
* Orchestrate brand discovery and process re design (workflows, governance, quality gates)
E. People Leadership & CoE
* Build cross functional squads (merchandising, content, trading, analytics, QA) and mentor leads
* Develop accelerators (taxonomy templates, PLP/PDP scorecards, promo guardrails, release checklists)
* Drive continuous improvement via QBRs, retros, and experiment catalogs
Required Qualifications
* 14-16 years in eCommerce operations/management; 8+ years leading multi site, multi region storefronts
