The RoleThis position is responsible for owning technical aspects of project delivery for OSI’s customers. You’ll be doing the design, planning, integration, testing, training, and commissioning of hardware and software requirements on a customer system based on project specifications.
Your Impact- Assess technical specification requirements for projects, evaluate risks and identify mitigation plans.
- Understand project requirements through interactions with customer & internal stakeholders. Delegate tasks within and across the teams as necessary.
- Design, plan, integrate, test and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
- Prepare project documentation including Functional design, Test procedures.
- Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration and perform factory functional testing for SCADA, Web platform, High speed Historian, and other related functionalities.
- Document and track progress of project activities and report any technical issues.
- Provide Subject-matter expert support to Solutions / Proposals team to bring out competitive advantage of OSI in tenders.
- Develop working relationships with global offices of OSI, Aspentech, and Emerson, to deliver projects globally.
What You'll Need
- 8+ years experience, with 4+ years of experience in managing/ leading projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Experience with SCADA systems, data base creation, configuration of web platform, knowledge of enterprise historians, testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of configuration of SCADA software packages, SQL database, ODBC and report generation.
- Understanding of utility use-cases (Electricity / Gas / Water / Renewables).
- Flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites (expect 20% travel).
- Willingness to work as an Individual Contributor.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel without compromising quality of project delivery.
- Understanding of lifecycle of software project delivery.
- Knowledge of computer architectures, networking, databases and operating systems.
- Understanding of networking, TCP/IP and routing principles.
- Knowledge of computer programming with C# or Python.
