Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager to provide sound leadership in Sunstore, an online marketplace product. The candidate will get excellent exposure in the field of renewable energy and entire cleantech ecosystem, including solar energy. As part of the team, you will own and the product conceptualization and development. The ideal candidate will effortlessly be able to interface between business and technical teams and own the entire product development life cycle. Responsibilities • Conceptualizing Product Roadmap - Bridge between the business requirements and tech deliverables to define the product roadmap. Business sense & prioritization is the key! • Executing Product Roadmap by defining flows, user stories and journeys (mocks/wireframes). Liaison with the development & design team to execute the roadmap. • Ownership of product development through its lifecycle from initiation to go live • Collaborate with various stakeholders viz., Channel Management, Sales Management, Credit, Operations, Technical and Compliance teams to design products • Prepare and review product requirements documents (PRD) and wireframes consistent with company vision • Work on UX for great consumer experience externally and smooth flow of processes internally • Scheduling deliverables, ensure products and releases are launched on schedule while maintaining quality • Translating the scope of development into definite metrics to evaluate quality and progress • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision while keeping track of industry trends and competitions • Design built-in reporting that best depicts the health of business, profiles of channel partners and customers • Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users Requirements • MBA and B.Tech from a Tier-I institute • Proven experience as a Product Manager for at least 3 years in the e-commerce industry. • In-depth understanding of B2B marketplace systems. • Strong Understanding of Sunstore.co Marketplace Capabilities: o Product Sourcing and Procurement: ▪ Expertise in managing a comprehensive catalogue of solar products, enabling EPCs and businesses to source high-quality components efficiently. o Vendor Management and Onboarding: ▪ Proficiency in onboarding and managing vendors through streamlined workflows, ensuring compliance with quality standards and competitive pricing. o Pricing and Discount Automation: ▪ Familiarity with automating pricing mechanisms, bulk discounts, and promotional campaigns to optimize vendor competitiveness and buyer satisfaction. o Order Management and Tracking: ▪ Experience with end-to-end order lifecycle management, including order placement, inventory checks, and real-time tracking for seamless operations. o Logistics and Delivery Integration: ▪ Knowledge of integrating logistics services for smooth delivery, ensuring timely and cost-efficient shipment of solar products. o BRE (Business Rule Engine): ▪ Proficiency in configuring business rules for pricing, inventory management, and vendor selection to maintain marketplace efficiency. o Payments and Settlements: ▪ Strong understanding of secure payment gateways and settlement workflows, enabling transparent and timely payments between buyers and vendors. o Dashboard and Analytics: ▪ Expertise in providing comprehensive dashboards for vendors and buyers, offering insights into sales, procurement patterns, and performance metrics. o Financing Options Integration: ▪ Experience with integrating solar financing solutions to support EPCs and businesses in funding their solar projects directly through the marketplace. o Customer Support and Issue Resolution: ▪ Knowledge of building robust customer support systems, including ticketing, FAQs, and dispute resolution workflows, for both buyers and vendors. • Ability to operate with high level of independence. Proactively define and prioritize work scope and deliverables balancing the short and long-term objectives of the program • Ability to write crisp and logically supported recommendations to senior management • Ability to thrive in a start-up; be self-motivated, and own projects end-to-end • An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to think clearly • Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality • Experience of working with CXO level executives to drive key initiatives • Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relations
