The Role


As a Senior Field Engineer - QC Manager with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….


  • Responsible to lead the team of discipline engineers for construction supervision and management of the respective discipline works at project site.
  • Assign/distribute works/work areas to the discipline engineers and ensure that
  • The process of review of the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings and seeking clarification based on the established procedure is followed.
  • Necessary inputs are provided to the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline
  • The engineers understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline
  • The engineers collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors
  • Stage wise inspections, are carried out, of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and necessary documentation for the inspections performed are maintained
  • The engineers Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable)
  • Approval of Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors
  • Lead site walk rounds for the respective discipline and participate in quality audits
  • Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Ensure that the team of engineers carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification. Highlight deficiencies to contractor through formal communication
  • Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal contractual communications
  • Monitor contractor’s compliance to various requirements indicated under the contract agreement. Highlight non-conformities to the contractor through formal communication and follow up for compliance
  • Lead review meetings with Contractors
  • Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors
  • Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline. Knowledge of statutory requirements, general contract requirements and interpretation of contract clauses
  • Graduate Engineers with minimum 15 years of experience with minimum 3 years of experience of working as Lead Engineer/Area Manager/Superintendent in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals
  • Graduate in Engineering in respective discipline
  • Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Leadership skills, Team Player
  • Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity
