Missions/Main Duties


  • Lead RAMS Program & Compliance: Establish and manage the overall Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) program, ensuring strict compliance with international railway standards.
  • System Safety Case Development: Be responsible for developing, maintaining, and assuring the System Safety Case for the entire rail line, demonstrating that all risks have been reduced to an acceptable level.
  • Hazard & Risk Management: Conduct and oversee detailed Hazard Identification (HAZID/HAZOP) workshops, maintain the comprehensive Hazard Log, and define mitigation strategies throughout the project life cycle.
  • RAM Analysis & LCC: Perform quantitative Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses on critical equipment (signaling, rolling stock, power) to ensure performance targets and optimize Life Cycle Costs (LCC).
  • Interface RAMS Verification: Define and rigorously verify the RAMS requirements at all technical and operational interfaces to prevent system failures and ensure seamless integration of subsystems.
  • Safety Authority Liaison: Coordinate with Independent Safety Assessors (ISAs) and national regulatory bodies to successfully complete safety reviews.

Profile/Skills


  • Qualification: Graduate in any branch of Engineering with working knowledge of reading, writing and speaking in English 
  • Relevant Experience: 3 years’ experience for Evaluating of the system by conducting RAMS Study on the basis of Outline, planning and design parameters for the Rail Based Passenger Transit System as Sr. RAMS Expert or equivalent position 
  • Eligible Assignment: Must have experience of 1 Eligible Assignment as Sr. RAMS Expert or equivalent position for a full-time continuous deployment period not less than 2 years 
  • International Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience on projects for Rail based Passenger Transit system with operational speed of 160 kmph or more 
  • Rail-based Passenger Transit System shall mean
    • High Speed Transit System / Regional Rail Transit System (with operational speed of 160kmh and above) OR 
    • Urban/Suburban/Intercity/Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) 
  • Eligible Assignment Shall mean experience of working as personnel of Contractor/General Consultant / Project Management Consultant / Employer’s Personnel in a work / project in a Rail based Passenger Transit System with operational speed of 160 kmph or more comprising:
    • Construction of Civil structures (at-grade/elevated/underground) AND 
    • Installation of Systems (Track, Rolling Stock, Traction & Power Supply, Signalling)
